Domaine Sylvain Pataille Bourgogne Blanc Les Mechalots 2015 750 ML

Over the last 15 years Sylvain Pataille has built up his domaine from scratch. His vineyard holdings are now 15 hectares, all located within Marsannay, which is at the top of the C?te d?Or, near Dijon. He farms using biodynamic methods and is now certified organic, and he works with natural methoda in the winery. His 2016 Marsanny Blanc, which is unusual in that the majority of Marsannay is planted to red grapes, is aromatic and intense due to the low yields of the vintage. The aroma is pure fruit, pears, apples and peaches, with lovely accents of toast, spice and minerals. In the mouth the wine is vibrant and lively with notes of fresh herbs and a beautiful crystalline acidity on the finish. Serve lightly chilled with rich seafood and poultry dishes as well as with cheese and cream sauces.
